Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The owner insures the yacht and equipment under Greek law against fire, marine and collision risks, third party damage and any loss or damage in excess of the agreed security deposit.

Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.

The boat is for private pleasure use only by you and your party. Racing, towing other boats (except in an emergency) and subletting without our written consent are not allowed. Breaking customs or fishing laws, or taking archaeological objects, ends the agreement.

You must stay within Greek seas. We also ask you to plan your route so you reach the farthest port within the first third of your charter, and to be within 40 nautical miles of the return port two days before the end.

Your party must include at least one qualified skipper and one experienced crew member. We may ask you to show your competence by sailing the boat with us aboard. If you don't satisfy us, we may place a skipper aboard at your expense, if an acceptable one is available.

For safety you must not leave port or anchorage if the wind is, or is forecast to be, above Beaufort 6, or if harbour authorities ban sailing. Please note that late return caused by weather still incurs the daily late-return charge.

For each day or part of a day you are late, you pay the daily charter price plus 50%. If you leave the boat at a different port, you also cover the cost of moving it back.
