Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Charterer responsible for all damage or failure occurring during charter period not resulting from normal wear.

Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.

You're free to explore Greek waters, but the yacht must stay within the Greek seas unless we agree otherwise in writing. Please plan your route to reach your farthest point in the first third of the charter and to be within 40 nautical miles of the return port for the last two days.

The charter is based on the sailing competence of you or your skipper, backed by official certification. We may also ask you and your crew to show you can handle the yacht safely at sea with one of us aboard, and if needed we can place a skipper on board at your expense.

Yes, you can only carry up to the number of people the yacht is licensed for, and everyone must appear on the crew list. We ask that your party include at least one qualified skipper and one experienced crew member.

No, the yacht is for your private pleasure only. Please don't use her for racing or for towing another boat except in a genuine emergency, and don't sublet her without our written consent.

Please don't leave port or anchorage if the wind is or is forecast to be over force 6 on the Beaufort scale, if the authorities have banned sailing, or if any vital equipment isn't working properly. Avoid sailing at night without all navigation lights on and a proper watch on deck.
