Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The yacht is insured against third-party damage and fully insured for damage resulting from force majeure, up to the registered value of the yacht and according to the policy. The crew is covered by insurance.

At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.

If you can't continue your cruise or a late arrival is unavoidable, tell the base manager as soon as possible so they can give you instructions. Any extra costs we incur because of weather-related delays are yours to cover, so plan your route carefully.

Yes. We can refuse to hand over the yacht if our representatives judge that you aren't competent to operate it, so be honest about your crew's experience when you book.

Contact the base manager or us before arranging any repair, because repairs need our permission. For a serious accident, or one involving other boats, you must also report it to the harbour master's office and have the events and damage written up in a protocol.

We hand over the yacht fully equipped and in good condition, and we expect it back the same way. Check the yacht and equipment against the inventory list when you take it over, and check the engine oil every day.
