About this boat

SUNNYACHT To experience magical moments... This nearly 19-meter long sailing catamaran yacht (REFIT 2023) is an iconic model from the manufacturer SUNREEF, the first in the world to launch a catamaran with a flybridge. Its reputation as a builder of luxurious, comfortable, sturdy, and reliable catamarans is recognised worldwide. Launched from the shipyard at the end of 2008, after more than twenty units produced, this vessel has benefited from all the advancements and innovations of the 62' model. According to SUNREEF, this unit is one of the most successful and well-equipped in the 62' series! Its exceptional flybridge, where all navigation systems are centralised, facilitates manoeuvres and offers a 360 sunbathing and socialising area. The impressive spaces on the deck and its rear platform allow for the enjoyment of all the water sports equipment offered on board. Captivated by its quality features such as the teak deck, flush portholes, and the timeless elegance of the interior salon, the new owners have chosen this catamaran in order to offer a friendly and luxurious travel experience. Particularly committed to this project, they carried out a complete refit in 2022 and 2023, tailoring additional facilities such as the enlargement of the steering station roof with a custom enlarged bimini top, incorporating secured windshields, installing solar panels and a second watermaker, etc... You will be delighted to explore exceptional places, discover deserted coves, and above all, experience magical moments on SUNNYACHT. Onboard, you will find a friendly and refined atmosphere, with maximum comfort for each guest during your stay. You will benefit from a variety of water sports equipment. During your relaxing evenings with family or friends, you can enjoy a TV area, a high-end sound system, a wine cellar, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Charterer should carry independent insurance for medical or accident expenses including emergency transport. Charterer liability insurance and cancellation/interruption insurance not included.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~220 HP engines burn roughly 17.6 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 370 L ≈ €722 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.
Do I need a sailing licence in Italy?
The skipper needs a valid sailing licence and VHF certificate, ideally issued by their country of residence (an ICC is widely accepted).
What does the skipper and crew do during the charter?
This is a crewed charter, so a skipper and trained crew handle the boat for you. The skipper follows your reasonable instructions on where to go, weighing weather and safety, and the rental price includes bed linen, cleaning products and general upkeep of the boat.
Can I bring a pet on board?
Pets and other animals may only be brought aboard with our written consent.
Is smoking allowed on board?
Smoking is limited to the outdoor areas the skipper designates, and only when the boat is not under way.
Can we go diving or use the water toys?
Diving from the boat requires the skipper's permission. The skipper may also withhold use of any equipment from anyone behaving irresponsibly or under the influence of alcohol.
What happens if the boat breaks down during our trip?
If a breakdown or other cause prevents reasonable use of the boat for 12 to 48 hours through no fault of yours, you'll be refunded pro-rata for that time or given an equivalent extension. Tell the skipper immediately so we can act.
When is the best time to sail in Italy?
May–October, warm and settled in summer; July–August are hottest and busiest, with afternoon thermal breezes common.
