Chalkie's Beach

Tucked into Haselwood Island directly opposite Whitehaven Beach, Chalkie's is your go-to anchorage when the wind swings east. The sand here is the same brilliant white silica that makes Whitehaven famous — it just comes with fewer crowds. Watch the bank carefully when you drop anchor: it's steep, so make sure you're set on the 5-metre mark or you'll find yourself drifting.
