South Whitehaven Beach

You anchor off here and dinghy in to one of the most genuinely unspoiled stretches of coastline in Australia — miles of powdery silica sand so fine and white it squeaks underfoot. The southern end is quieter and more remote than the northern stretch, with bushwalking trails and campgrounds tucked into the surrounding national park if you want to explore beyond the waterline.
