Uvala Ruda

Ruda is a tucked-away bay on the south side of Vis island, once dotted with fishermen's cottages used by villagers from the interior — you can still feel that quiet, unhurried character today. Drop anchor here and you're within reach of hiking trails that wind up through Vino Polje and Plisko Polje, making it a solid base if you want to stretch your legs inland. It's low-key and largely off the radar, so expect clear water and little fuss.
