About this boat

Wave 50 is a floating retreat designed for those who crave space, comfort, and seamless connection with the ocean. Every inch of this yacht has been crafted to enhance your experience, from its expansive 200m2 interior—the most spacious in its class—to the unique front cockpit, which offers both a cozy lounge and a trampoline, a rare combination on 50ft catamarans. Step up to the upper deck salon, where panoramic views surround a space as large as a traditional main salon, perfect for gathering, dining, or simply soaking in the scenery. And unlike many yachts in this class, our air conditioning runs independently—no need for the engine or generator, ensuring a peaceful and efficient onboard atmosphere. Wave 50 is all about freedom, whether you’re lounging under the sun, enjoying an intimate dinner on deck, or feeling the thrill of the open sea. It’s a yacht built not just for sailing, but for truly living on the water.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The yacht is insured for hull and third-party liability. This does not cover personal items or intentional damage.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~120 HP engines burn roughly 9.6 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 202 L ≈ €394 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Italy?
Not personally — this boat requires a skipper, who holds the licence. Generally, though: The skipper needs a valid sailing licence and VHF certificate, ideally issued by their country of residence (an ICC is widely accepted).
Can I bring my dog on board?
Pets are only allowed with our prior approval. Extra cleaning and ozone treatment fees apply, so please ask us before you book.
Where can I sail?
Our charters cover Sardinia, Corsica and mainland Italy. Boarding is normally at Marina di Olbia. If we need to use another nearby marina for operational reasons, we will tell you in advance and you can approve the change.
Can I skipper the boat myself?
No, all our yachts are crewed and bareboat charter is not offered. You sail with a skipper and a hostess who look after navigation, port manoeuvres and the common areas.
Will the crew cook for us?
The hostess prepares breakfast and a light, simple lunch. If you want three meals a day or specific dietary or culinary requests, you can add a professional chef for EUR 2,000 per week.
Are there rules about behaviour and noise on board?
Smoking is not allowed inside the yacht and loud music must stop by 22:00. The crew may restrict alcohol if it becomes a safety risk. The Captain can remove guests who behave aggressively or inappropriately at the nearest port, without a refund.
