Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit.

How much will fuel cost?

Accepted Answer

Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~40 HP engine burn roughly 3.2 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 67 L ≈ €131 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.

Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?

Accepted Answer

Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.

Where will we sail during the week?

Trips usually explore the Saronic and Argolic gulf islands and coasts close to Athens, where distances are shorter and the winds milder, taking in spots such as Aegina, Poros, Methana, Epidavros and, weather permitting, Hydra and Spetses. The Cyclades are best kept for a two-week trip.

Can I take this boat without a skipper?

It may be available bareboat if you can show a valid sailing licence and strong experience, ideally in Greek waters. Otherwise it sails with our skipper-guide, whose daily fee varies by season.

How many guests can sleep on board?

Accepted Answer

The boat has three double cabins and is most comfortable for four guests in two cabins with the skipper in the third. We can host up to six guests across three cabins, with the skipper in the saloon in that case.

What is included in the boat price?

Accepted Answer

The price includes a service pack of sheets and towels, cooking gas, a dinghy with motor, and snorkelling and safety equipment, plus VAT. A kayak is available for a small fee and a SUP can be rented.
