Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Owner guarantees vessel, passengers and crew properly insured according to Croatian law.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~370 HP engines burn roughly 29.6 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 622 L ≈ €1163 at €1.87/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.
Do I need a sailing licence in Croatia?
At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.
Can I bring my pet on board?
Pets and other animals are not allowed on board without our written consent in advance.
Does the boat sail at night?
Navigation is restricted to daylight hours, so the boat won't be under way before sunrise or after sunset. Cruising time is also limited to an average of about four hours per day, unless the captain agrees otherwise.
What does the crew take care of?
We provide a properly uniformed captain and crew who are fed and insured, in line with Croatian law. The captain will give you the same attention as if you were the owner and follow your reasonable wishes on the boat's movement, subject to safety and the weather.
How many guests can be on board?
You may not exceed the maximum number of guests for sleeping or cruising. A reasonable number of extra visitors may come aboard only while the boat is securely moored in port, at the captain's discretion.
Can we use the jet ski and water sports gear?
Personal watercraft may only be used in areas the captain approves, by drivers with a valid licence aboard who have shown their skills and follow the captain's instructions. The captain can prohibit use of any water sports equipment if guests aren't competent or are behaving irresponsibly.
