Badia de Fornells

Badia de Fornells is a sheltered, lagoon-like bay tucked into the north coast of Menorca, where you drop the hook in calm, turquoise water ringed by low scrubland and rocky shores. It's genuinely peaceful here — the small fishing village of Fornells sits at the head of the bay, worth a dinghy trip ashore for some of the island's best caldereta de llagosta (spiny lobster stew). Platja de ses Salines, a pretty sandy stretch, is just a short distance inside the bay if you fancy a swim.
