About this boat

Lagoon 42 – Synchronicity (Owners Version) Launched in early 2022, Synchronicity is a Lagoon 42 Owners Version, perfectly designed for comfortable cruising and unforgettable adventures in the islands and lagoons of French Polynesia. Fully equipped for offshore sailing, she combines comfort, and style in an elegant and spacious layout. The entire starboard hull is dedicated to a luxurious owner’s suite featuring a double bed, a private bathroom with separate shower, and ample storage space, creating a peaceful and private retreat. In addition, the yacht offers two comfortable double guest cabins, each with its own private bathroom, allowing up to six guests. Crew accommodation is located in the forepeaks. Crew members share one of the guest bathrooms. The interior is bright, modern, and fully equipped with all household essentials, including linens, kitchenware, and a large, well-equipped galley ideal for extended cruising and entertaining onboard. For maximum comfort in the tropical climate, Synchronicity is fitted with air conditioning throughout the yacht as well as a generator for complete onboard autonomy. Built for remote island exploration, the yacht is also equipped with solar panels, a watermaker, and a dinghy with outboard engine, making it easy to access beaches, motu, and snorkelling spots throughout French Polynesia. Optional paid extras are available to enhance your charter experience, including stand-up paddleboards, fishing equipment, Starlink satellite communication, and a Code Zero sail for improved sailing performance. One-way charters can also be arranged, allowing guests to begin their cruise on one island and finish on another for greater flexibility and adventure. Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Boat Owner carries insurance for accidental damage including third-party damage. Theft or loss of personal effects excluded.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~90 HP engines burn roughly 7.2 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 151 L ≈ €294 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.
Do I need a sailing licence in France?
Not personally — a skipper comes with this boat and holds the licence. Generally, though: No formal licence is legally required to skipper a bareboat sailing yacht, though charter companies expect a sailing résumé and usually an ICC or equivalent.
Will my sailing skills be checked before I take the boat?
Yes. We reserve the right to assess your and your crew's handling and sailing skills, including by coming out to sea with you. If the trial isn't successful, we may require a professional skipper for as long as needed for the safety of the boat and crew, at your cost.
Can I sail at night?
Sailing at night isn't allowed without our prior authorisation for a specific route and date. Sailing within the lagoons is only permitted between 8am and 4pm.
Are there weather limits on when I can leave port?
Yes. Please don't leave port or anchorage if the wind exceeds force 6 on the Beaufort scale or such wind is forecast, if the authorities have banned sailing, or if the boat, crew or conditions present any danger. We may also send you sailing and routing instructions in bad weather.
Do I need to share my itinerary?
Yes. Your sailing itinerary must be approved by us before departure, and you should keep us informed of your position whenever it changes.
How may I use the boat, and can I take part in a regatta?
The boat is for pleasure sailing only, with no commercial use, professional fishing, transport or towing. You may only take part in a regatta with our prior authorisation, which can mean extra costs and a higher deposit; unauthorised racing is forbidden. You may carry only the number of people listed on your rental invoice.
